The classification of livestock according to the environment can be classified according to two main types: • Extensive livestock: environmental resources are used for exploitation. • Intensive livestock: it is also called as stabled livestock. This type of livestock takes advantage of the cost reduction to be more competitive. • Mixed type livestock: this concept also as semi-intensive, semi-extensive or semi-stabled livestock.
Reflection Livestock has been a marginalized sector that needs some variables to improve the: general knowledge on the part of producers, management, knowledge in investment, assimilation of applied and achievable technical concepts. So it is important for our career in agricultural administration and in this course to know what has been allowed and what needs to be done to improve this sector in every way.
